Handful of fresh asparagus
knob of butter

Serve with either: 1. Extra melting butter and a shaving of hard cheese 2. Poached egg 3. Gremolata 4. Pesto

Method

  1. Poach the asparagus in a shallow pan with minimal water, lots of butter and a good grinding of black pepper.
