Am I able to drink milk while eating seafood?
Some cultures believe eating milk and fish together can cause a condition called vitiligo, however there is no scientific evidence to suggest these two foods cannot be eaten together. In fact, milk and other dairy foods, and fish and other seafood make a delicious culinary pairing.

Vitiligo is a chronic (long-lasting) autoimmune condition that causes patches of skin to lose pigment or colour. While scientists are not entirely sure what causes the condition, a range of factors are being studied by researchers including genetics or events such as sunburn, stress, or exposure to certain chemicals. There isn't any scientific evidence to show that drinking milk after eating seafood or fish is harmful to health. Many delicious recipes combine fish and dairy, for example, a creamy fish pie with milk and parmesan.
It’s important to make sure any food is handled safely i.e. ensure the fish is fresh and stored at the correct temperature and the dairy food is consumed within its expiry or best before date.
