Cheese etc. is a specialty cheese shop doubling as an intimate bar serving a range of outstanding hyperlocal and other Australian wines, beers, cider and drinks alongside a dine-in menu of platters, gourmet toasties and house-made bar snacks.

In 2014 owner Hugh Nicholas became a full time cheese professional, opening his pop-up shop in North Sydney's Drink Better Wine in 2015. In 2017 he moved with his family to the Southern Highlands of NSW, opening at The Mill in Bowral that November. Hugh has now moved to a custom-built, fully licensed space in High Street Bowral, aptly named Cheese etc.

Cheese etc. offers cheese for sale from the shop, eat-in and takeaway dining, as well as services in catering, private events, off-site tastings, workshops and more.

Luka Chocolates

An essential visit for any chocolate lover – Luka Chocolates is an artisan chocolate company based in the Yarramalong Valley, Central Coast NSW.

All of the chocolates are hand-made on site, using traditional Belgian chocolate making techniques and there are over 150 varieties available to try and take home from their retail store.

During your visit, you can take a behind the scenes look at the chocolate production process and get a taste for their premium quality products.

Little Creek Cheese

Little Creek Cheese is Central Coast’s own local, award winning, handmade gourmet cheese factory and outlet, and a must visit for anyone who wants to have a hands-on dairy experience.

If you want to immerse yourself in the cheese making experience – at Little Creek you can go behind the scenes with the cheesemaker and enjoy a session on making ricotta and paneer, which you can take home with you to enjoy.

The Wyong Milk Factory and Tavern

No visit to Central Coast NSW’s dairy region is complete without a visit to The Wyong Milk Factory. Established in 1906, you can experience the true taste of local dairy and discover tasty and local produce at Little Creek Cheese and Luka Chocolates, located inside the factory.

Once you have experienced all the different offerings the factory has available – head on over to the Wyong Milk Factory Tavern, where you can enjoy a hearty meal, prepared with local produce, along with craft beers and fine wines.

Omnom

Marly the Founder of Omnom was studying food science when she became obsessed with the science of making cheese, and was determined to learn how to make it at home. After spending countless hours scouring the internet and experimenting in her home kitchen, she was blown away at how easy home making cheese was. 

When Marly started telling friends she was making halloumi, burrata and feta in my apartment kitchen, she realised cheesemaking was a craft people knew little about. In 2015 Marly started Omnom, a business offering cheesemaking classes and DIY cheesemaking kits.

Gold Street Dairy

Goldstreet Dairy is an artisan micro-cheesery based in Marrickville, NSW. We source Jersey milk each week from Luke and Jess Micallef at Camden Valley Farm, 45 minutes from the cheesery, to produce our small batch artisan fresh, aged and grilling style cheeses.

Gavana Holsteins

Finalists in the 2018 NSW Farmer of the Year award, Gavin and Karina Moore are passionate about helping students learn and understand where their food comes from. With a purpose built dairy and education centre, students will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with a dairy cow and learn all about the dairy industry in Australia. Students will learn about the paddock to plate journey of dairy products, and how technology is used in agriculture to achieve sustainable and productive enterprises.
